KVMSwitchTech Announces Brand New Addition of DVI Dual Link Fiber Optic Extender to Its Existing Fiber Optic Extender Product Line

Beachwood, OH (PRWEB) October 25, 2011

As modern technology moves to greater imaging resolutions and higher throughput requirements of captured data, fiber optic cabling is emerging as the technology best suited to address these needs. Despite improvements in wireless technology, the security of a solid physical link and throughput of fiber optic cables over distances is a necessity for many industries. KVMSwitchTech has recently added two items to its Fiber Optic Extender product line that combine simplicity and functionality. The new models include Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2224 Multimode Fiber Extender and the DVI Dual Link Fiber Optic Extender.

DVI over fiber optic extender for displays is not a new concept. KVMSwitchTech already offers a large selection of DVI-D single link, HDMI, and even DVI-D dual link fiber optic extenders. What separates the new DVI Dual Link Fiber Extender over two strand multimode fiber optic cable from prior dual link extenders is the use of a single cable. This miniature marvel is a transmitter and receiver pair capable of sending WQXGA (2560x1600) resolution signals nearly 1000 feet through the use of one common two-strand multimode SC optical fiber cable. More importantly for many users, this extender is HDCP compliant so there is no concern about the image being lost due to security encoding. Finally, all of this is accomplished without any video quality degradation making this plug and play device ideal for Digital Signage, Government, Military, and Hospital applications.

Displays are not the only devices to benefit from the capabilities of fiber optic cables. The Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2224 Multimode Fiber Extender is an amazing product and allows users to utilize all their common USB input devices from keyboards, scanners, printers, and data drives all the way to USB touch screens over distances beyond the capability of standard USB Extender over CAT5e/Cat6 cables. This USB 2.0 Extender leverages one of the greatest features of USB 2.0, bus powered devices, by including a power supply for the 4 port USB hub receiver. When used with up to 3 other USB hubs it further enables a user to leverage 11 USB devices through one long distance data connection. We also offer USB 2.0 Extender products over Cat5e/Cat6 cables. The available models are Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2201, Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2101, Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2104, Icron USB 2.0 ranger 2212, and Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2204.

Though KVMSwitchTech realizes that the future is in fiber optic extenders, there is no denying that legacy VGA equipment is not ready to fade away. Customers who still need to support their VGA equipment will be happy to know that we also offer a comprehensive range of VGA Extender products. The product range includes standard VGA Extender, VGA Extender with audio, VGA Extender with RS232, WIFI Wireless VGA Extender, and Cat5 VGA Splitter Extender. These units use a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable for signal extension up to 1000ft.

KVMSwitchTech Announces Enhancements to Existing Line of Video Splitter Products for a WideRange of Applications

Beachwood, Ohio (PRWEB) November 08, 2011

Video display technology is constantly evolving and Video Splitter products used to distribute high definition (HD) content must keep pace. HDMI has proven to be a robust format for handling the expanding capacity needed for 3D content. KVMSwitchTech?s growing product line of 3D capable HDMI Splitter units now includes a variety of items from simple 2 Port HDMI Splitters to 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch with infrared remote control and RS232 interface for control from a Microsoft Windows based PC.

Video Splitters have been around in a variety of formats for many years. Original splitters were simple Y-cable solutions. These cable solutions are largely ineffective as they do not provide full signal strength to each display. They were also susceptible to ghosting and image artifacts because of poor shielding. Much of this was overcome with the introduction of powered hardware splitters and switches that boost the signal for each display to full strength. Video Splitter products are available for almost any format including Composite Splitter, Component Splitter, S-Video Splitter, VGA Splitter, DVI Splitter, and HDMI Splitter. Of these formats only DVI and HDMI are capable of supporting high definition 3D content. While DVI is still popular in the PC market, HDMI has come to dominate the TV industry due to the native audio support. All these Video Splitter products come standard with CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications. Some of them also have UL Grade medical certifications.

Video Splitters range in price and capabilities to match user needs. Most Video splitters use simple push-button controls, but can also include RS232 interfaces and infrared remote controls. Customers who need to use VGA Splitter or DVI Splitter will be happy to know that options are available with audio support with dedicated 3.5mm audio jacks for each display. S-Video Splitter units are available with stereo RCA audio jacks. Many of the video splitters are also available as Cat5 Video Splitter Extender enabling the enhanced signal to be transmitted beyond the capabilities of traditional video cables with the use of Cat5e/Cat6 network cables. We offer Cat5 VGA Splitter with or without audio, CAT5 DVI Splitter, CAT5 HDMI Splitter, Cat5 Composite Splitter, and Cat5 Component Splitter units. These Cat 5 Video Splitter units are used for a wide variety of digital signage, training, airports, advertising, grocery stores, casinos, shopping malls, remote surveillance and monitoring, military, government, commercial, stock exchanges, and point of sale applications.

Free Update For Line 6 POD? HD, POD? HD Pro And POD? HD500 Adds More Control And New Features

Calabasas, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2011

Line 6, Inc. (line6.com), the industry leader in digital modeling technology for musicians, announced today a free update for their POD? HD multi-effect processors. Firmware update v1.4 will give guitarists additional features including enhanced MIDI control, faster gating, variable input impedance and new input flexibility.

"This latest update reflects our mission to make POD HD extremely intuitive, even while offering an extraordinary range of features," said Elliot Chenault, Product Manager at Line 6. "Firmware update v1.4 provides new ways to sculpt and control your tone, while improving ease of use.?

New Variable Input Impedance gives guitarists eight selectable options to enhance their tone. When set to "auto," the impedance matches that of the first amp or effect in the chain, creating the same response as plugging into the modeled original. Seven discrete resistor values (22k, 32k, 70k, 90k, 230k, 1M, 3.5M) can also be selected to further sculpt the sound, actually changing the analog circuitry. Impedance settings are saved with each preset.

New Global Input Selection mode means guitarists can play through any combination of effects and tones from a single input source. When guitarists need their POD? HD multi-effect processor to remember different input sources, they can simply toggle Preset Input Selection mode.

The new Hard Gate is an advanced gate capable of extremely quick response. With controls for hold time, decay rate, and separate open/close thresholds, Hard Gate is ideal for any genre including Metal. It can even be used to create erratic ?sputter? and ?splat? effects.

Enhanced MIDI Control enables guitarists to control POD HD500 and POD HD Pro with external MIDI controllers. A variety of functions including Footswitch 1-8, Tap Tempo, Tuner, Looper Controls, and Expression Pedals can all be accessed via standard MIDI messages.

(Note: MIDI control is available for POD HD500 and POD HD Pro only.)

To get Firmware update v1.4, just connect your POD HD via USB to your computer, run Line 6 Monkey? and follow the instructions. Learn more about the v1.4 update and POD HD multi-effect processors at line6.com/podhd.

KVMSwitchTech Announces the Addition of 1U 20? Rackmount Monitor and 23? Widescreen Rackmount LCD Units to Existing Line of Rackmount KVM Equipment

Beachwood, OH (PRWEB) November 30, 2011

It is often easy to get stuck in consumer mode and forget the reason for larger screen sizes in work environments. With the rush to higher resolutions, brighter screens, and better contrast people often get sidetracked and may even eventually begin asking why there is a need for the extra screen space for a work station or server controller. This is where a historic lens can help to refocus on the original justifications for larger displays.

When doing work related projects it is not uncommon to be involved in a multi-stage task. This should not be confused with multi-tasking. Multi-stage tasks could involve editing a document in one program, uploading it to the internet in another, and viewing the end result in a web browser. This is a single project with a single goal, but many steps to achieve it. Here was the true advantage of larger displays. As the screen real-estate grew, the ability to view multiple pages at their natural size was a distinct advantage. Now with the introduction of the 20 inch 1U Rackmount Monitor KVMSwitchTech has brought this same level of functionality to the IT Administrator in the server rack. These displays take advantage of their size to offer a maximum in functionality to the end user.

The best way to take advantage of the large screen sizes is through the use of a widescreen Rackmount LCD. These vary in size to as much as 23 inches and can support picture in picture (PiP), 1080P resolution. In short, they provide all the functionality of a HDTV in a rack environment. The one possible drawback to these 23? displays is the 8U of fixed rack space that they use. The 20? 1U Rackmount LCDs are the best option for space constrained racks. This is especially true when combined with a Rackmount Keyboard drawer and Rackmount KVM Switch. These units can all be integrated into one 1U combination unit with the ultimate utility in a dual slide rackmount monitor with integrated combo KVM switch, which allows for independent use of the display and keyboard.

KVMSwitchTech's new line of KVM Drawer solutions allows complete control of the server?s from a single location. As the name suggests a KVM Drawer is hardware device that allows users to access one or multiple CPUs from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse in 1U or 2U. These KVM Drawers are an extremely cost effective solution and eliminate hardware clutter. There are several different applications where there are multiple servers in a single server rack. It is cost prohibitive to have a dedicated keyboard, mouse and monitor for every server. The perfect product for applications like these would be a KVM Drawer with built-in KVM Switch.

About KVMSwitchTech:

KVMSwitchTech is worldwide supplier of Rackmount Hardware which includes Rackmount Monitor, KVM Drawer, and Rackmount keyboard with or without integrated KVM Switches. In addition, the product line also includes a wide range of Rackmount LCD solutions.

New Milford, CT (PRWEB) December 07, 2011

Magenta Research, the recognized leader in signal extension, distribution and switching, will introduce a wide-range of new and improved products in Booth #4U30 at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2012, taking place in Amsterdam January 31-February 2.

ISE 2012 marks the official public debut of upgrades to Magenta?s venerable MultiView line, which has served?for over 10 years?as the most adaptable, top performing solution for the distribution of Pro-AV signals over UTP cable. MultiView II enhancements are all designed to make it even easier to perfectly replicate 1080p resolution (and higher) video at distances to 2,000 feet. MultiView II products on display will include the MultiView II DVI, T4, STx and XRTx transmitters, plus MultiView II AK600 and AK1200 receivers.

MultiView II Upgrades Include:

???? ????Previous MultiView products occasionally required internal jumper repositioning to change configurations; MultiView II introduces a totally revamped, all external configuration scheme with easy-to-use buttons and status LEDs
???? ????Improved EDID & DDC modes of operation
???? ????Improved sync control
???? ????Fourth-pair configuration options (for aux data like serial and audio)
???? ????Streamlined connector locations for more intuitive rack mounting
???? ????Fully backwards compatible with all previously-manufactured MultiView equipment

Magenta will also be demonstrating new entries in its Voyager Series of products, which extend, switch and distribute video and auxiliary signals over fiber-optic cable. Voyager?s Compact Format (CF) line of products includes the CF-18, a rack-mountable chassis designed to densely pack 18 Voyager CF transmitters into a space-saving 4U enclosure. The CF-18 eliminates the need for separate power supplies and dramatically reduces installation time, while providing a streamlined, condensed rack-based solution.

Stand-alone Voyager CF products will be introduced at ISE as well. Only an inch deep, CF devices are much smaller than the existing, modular Voyager transmitters and receivers, and come with built-in mounting ears, allowing them to be easily secured behind a display or under a desk.

A Voyager 4-port transmitter will also be debuted at ISE. When combined with the ability to daisy-chain Voyager receivers, the four-port transmitter greatly increases signal distribution options for the fiber-based Voyager line. The four-port transmitter is also a key component in enabling Voyager fiber-optic based matrix switching to reach a maximum size of 640 total ports.

Voyager New Products:

???? ????Voyager CF-18: 4U, rack-mountable chassis that holds and powers 18 Voyager CF transmitter units
???? ????Voyager CF Series: Compact format, stand-alone Voyager transmitters and receivers
???? ????4-Port Transmitter: increases Voyager signal distribution options and expands Voyager matrix switch sizes to 640 total ports, which Voyager Flex I/O technology allows to be inputs OR outputs
