Summit Series Announces Aspen Summit '09

Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 26, 2009

Summit Series announces the Summit Series Aspen '09 Retreat, a gathering of 115 top young CEOs and philanthropists worldwide. The Retreat will be held April 2-5, 2009 in Aspen, Colorado and is invitation-only.

The young leaders--an average age of 29 years--are part of Summit Series: a community of the world's most influential young entrepreneurs and innovators under the age of 35 that assemble in venues across North America.

Summit Series recently gained national attention for bringing thirty-five of America's top young executives to the White House to discuss the economy with senior officials from the Obama administration. Summit Series was founded by 23-year-old Elliott Bisnow less than one year ago, and provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to work together solving community, economic, and worldwide problems.

The Aspen '09 Retreat, sponsored by GQ magazine and the United Nations Foundation, among others, will focus on educating attendees on the power of contributing resources and idea capital to philanthropic organizations. Presenters at Aspen '09 will include Elizabeth Gore from Nothing But Nets, an organization that aims to protect children from Malaria through the distribution of mosquito nets; Lauren Bush from Feed Projects, an organization whose products such as its trademark "FEED Bag" will raise money to feed impoverished school children; Bobby Bailey from Invisible Children, an organization that works to address the challenge of child soldiers in Uganda; and Ethan Zohn from Grassroots Soccer, who took his $ 1M from winning Survivor to set up soccer leagues in Africa enabling children to get tested for HIV/AIDS.

A past Summit Series presenter, Scott Harrison, the founder of Charity: Water said, "The ability to present Charity: Water's mission to Summit Series' attendees was an invaluable opportunity. I was overwhelmed with the positive response and great follow-up opportunities. I was contacted by attendees looking to make cash donations to build wells in Africa, with advertising donations, and perhaps most importantly, idea capital."

"Summit Series strives to create an informal, collaborative environment for exchanging ideas, forging new business relationships, giving back to the community, and adopting progressive business concepts," said Elliott Bisnow, founder of Summit Series. "In this climate of growing economic challenges, we are proud that the Aspen '09 Retreat presents an opportunity to cast a positive light on philanthropy that advances the greater good."

Summit Series is invitation-only and open to entrepreneurs and philanthropists under the age of 35 that have demonstrated a marked positive effect on the planet. The full attendee list is released on the first day of each Summit. Past Summit Series events were held in Park City, UT and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

A selection of first time Summit Series attendees include: 31 year old, World Press Photo award winner Michael Appleton; 29 year old, Healthcare.com CEO, Matias De Tezanos who was recently named a 'Young Global Leader' by the World Economic Forum; 34 year old, Social Gaming Network (SGN) CEO, Shervin Pishevar; and 30 year old, Bear Naked Co-founder and CEO, Brendan Synnott who recently sold his company to Kellogg's.

TNT Revs Its Marketing Engines for NASCAR Summer Series Using Audio Spotlight Systems by Holosonics

Watertown, MA (PRWEB) September 30, 2011

TNT's latest creative marketing initiative fires on every cylinder to provide directional audio advertising in the Charlotte EpiCentre. Multiple Audio Spotlight systems were used to draw peoples' attention to the "NASCAR Summer Series on TNT" banners and signage that hung throughout the courtyard.

Blue Blast Media, veterans of targeted sound advertising, developed the ad soundtrack which cleverly combines the roaring, high speed sounds of NASCAR racetracks and lively pit crew chatter with rock band AC/DC's legendary song "T.N.T." ? for obvious reasons. No strangers to the abilities of the Audio Spotlight system, Blue Blast used the speakers to beam their message straight towards the 26-foot TNT logo on the stone courtyard ground, easily audible by passersby in the area, without disturbing the surrounding shops & eateries.

Tuner Sports senior vice president of Strategy/Marketing/Programming states, "This fully integrated campaign allows us to reach NASCAR fans on all touch points through unique, eye-catching, high-impact marketing." She continues, "This is the first time NASCAR has ever done something like this with its partners and we are excited to be able to lead the way with our brand activation."

The highly directional Audio Spotlight systems allowed TNT to uniquely and publicly captivate and expand their TV sports programming audiences with ear-catching audio, all without disrupting the community of the Charlotte entertainment hub.

MQ Series: XIMEA Creates World?s Smallest USB 3.0 Industrial Camera

MUNSTER, GERMANY (PRWEB) December 01, 2011

XIMEA GmbH is pleased to introduce the MQ series industrial camera, the world?s smallest and fastest USB 3.0 camera for industrial imaging and machine vision.

XIMEA?s MQ series USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data interface delivers up to 5 Gbps of data, enabling image transfers of up to 400 megapixels per second (Mpix/s). Despite its small size ? measuring just 26.4 x 26.4 x 19.1 mm and weighing a mere 26 g ? the MQ series includes all the standard I/O and features demanded by industrial imaging customers. MQ series cameras include a growing variety of high-grade CMOS sensors with resolutions ranging from VGA to 4 Mpix, global shutters, frame rates up to 600 fps, and improved quantum efficiency (QE) in the visible and NIR spectral ranges. A high dynamic range (HDR) model offers maximum sensitivity with a dynamic range of up to 100 dB.

Connecting the MQ series cameras to industrial data processing systems, OEM equipment, and PCs is greatly simplified with the inclusion of opto-isolated trigger input and illuminator control output, as well as on-board non-volatile memory for user settings and custom data. XIMEA?s MQ series cameras only consume between 1W to 1.8W, easing the power and thermal management design challenges for OEMs and end users alike. And like all XIMEA?s industrial cameras, each MQ series ships with application programming interfaces (APIs) for the most common image processing software, including programs from Cognex, Matrox, National Instruments, MVTec, and many more. Prices for the MQ series start at EUR189 for the 1.3 Mpix version.

?We?re very proud of our development time,? says Max Larin, CEO and head of product development and engineering at XIMEA. ?Empowered with modern design methodologies and tools, XIMEA?s designers developed the MQ family in only 100 days while still achieving record data throughput performance in an unbelievably compact housing. It also helps that XIMEA is an active member of USB3 Vision Standard Committee, which ensures that all future MQ series cameras will comply with the emerging USB 3.0 standard.?

About XIMEA

XIMEA GmbH believes that the best industrial, smart, and scientific cameras offer the highest levels of processing power, compatibility, and support at a competitive price. That?s why for more than 20 years, XIMEA has designed the smartest, most compact industrial cameras for machine vision applications in motion control, assembly, robotics, and industrial inspection and process control, as well as scientific cameras for life-science, security, and defense applications. Magenta Research to Demonstrate Enhanced MultiView Line and New Voyager Series Products at ISE 2012

New Milford, CT (PRWEB) December 07, 2011

Magenta Research, the recognized leader in signal extension, distribution and switching, will introduce a wide-range of new and improved products in Booth #4U30 at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2012, taking place in Amsterdam January 31-February 2.

ISE 2012 marks the official public debut of upgrades to Magenta?s venerable MultiView line, which has served?for over 10 years?as the most adaptable, top performing solution for the distribution of Pro-AV signals over UTP cable. MultiView II enhancements are all designed to make it even easier to perfectly replicate 1080p resolution (and higher) video at distances to 2,000 feet. MultiView II products on display will include the MultiView II DVI, T4, STx and XRTx transmitters, plus MultiView II AK600 and AK1200 receivers.

MultiView II Upgrades Include:

???? ????Previous MultiView products occasionally required internal jumper repositioning to change configurations; MultiView II introduces a totally revamped, all external configuration scheme with easy-to-use buttons and status LEDs
???? ????Improved EDID & DDC modes of operation
???? ????Improved sync control
???? ????Fourth-pair configuration options (for aux data like serial and audio)
???? ????Streamlined connector locations for more intuitive rack mounting
???? ????Fully backwards compatible with all previously-manufactured MultiView equipment

Magenta will also be demonstrating new entries in its Voyager Series of products, which extend, switch and distribute video and auxiliary signals over fiber-optic cable. Voyager?s Compact Format (CF) line of products includes the CF-18, a rack-mountable chassis designed to densely pack 18 Voyager CF transmitters into a space-saving 4U enclosure. The CF-18 eliminates the need for separate power supplies and dramatically reduces installation time, while providing a streamlined, condensed rack-based solution.

Stand-alone Voyager CF products will be introduced at ISE as well. Only an inch deep, CF devices are much smaller than the existing, modular Voyager transmitters and receivers, and come with built-in mounting ears, allowing them to be easily secured behind a display or under a desk.

A Voyager 4-port transmitter will also be debuted at ISE. When combined with the ability to daisy-chain Voyager receivers, the four-port transmitter greatly increases signal distribution options for the fiber-based Voyager line. The four-port transmitter is also a key component in enabling Voyager fiber-optic based matrix switching to reach a maximum size of 640 total ports.

Voyager New Products:

???? ????Voyager CF-18: 4U, rack-mountable chassis that holds and powers 18 Voyager CF transmitter units
???? ????Voyager CF Series: Compact format, stand-alone Voyager transmitters and receivers
???? ????4-Port Transmitter: increases Voyager signal distribution options and expands Voyager matrix switch sizes to 640 total ports, which Voyager Flex I/O technology allows to be inputs OR outputs
