Ward/Kraft Implements New Suite of Cost-Effective Security Features for Long Run Labels

Fort Scott, KS (PRWEB) July 12, 2008

Ward/Kraft, Inc., the trade leader in providing long run label security features for print distributors, today announced that their expanded suite of long run security label options now includes anti-fraud deterrent technologies for face stock printing as well as embedded deterrent substrate solutions. This suite of anti-fraud solutions gives independent distributors the most effective range of options in the long run label market. With the release of these new options, Ward/Kraft firmly establishes itself as the leader in providing highly-secure long run label solutions for print distributors.

"Our distributors are asking for more than micro printing and holograms", said Gina Holt, vice president of sales. "They want to be industry leaders, providing a broad and effective range of anti-fraud labeling solutions to their customers", continued Holt. "Our distributors now have a comprehensive set of surface and embedded solutions at costs that almost any of their customers can justify," concluded Holt.

Face stock printing options include chemical sensitivity coatings, five copy resistant stains, embedded security fibers, toner adhesion coatings and custom watermarking. Embedded solutions now include thread that embeds structured magnetic threads into paper label substrates as the label paper is made. Embedded solutions also include security threads made from polyester, metalized film, de-metalized film, magnetic and fiber optic materials. Another embedded option integrates an invisible mark into the paper which appears when the label is scanned with a special pen. Finally, the company is offering machine readable taggants that allow equipment such as printers to communicate with a host device to suspend printing until the label taggant is recognized and accepted. Customer service representatives are available to answer questions and provide quick quotes.

Ward/Kraft's' security label offering is backed by time-proven, results-driven product innovations and a knowledgeable customer service team. The cost-effective long run security label options can be quoted by the customer service team via phone, fax, mail and email. Yamaha PianoCraft Micro Systems Boast Full-Size Component Features, Versatile Apple Device Connectivity

Buena Park, Calif. (PRWEB) October 21, 2011

Yamaha Electronics Corporation today unveiled its MCR-332 and MCR-232 PianoCraft micro component systems that deliver full-size component quality stereo sound from just about any source, including Apple iPod, iPhone and iPad portable music players, USB devices, as well as from their built-in CD players and AM/FM tuners.

The centerpiece of both systems is the CRX-332 CD/receiver, featuring an alluring aluminum hairline design and a Yamaha-developed digital amp providing smooth, unforced output to 2-way bass reflex speakers. A built-in, top-panel iPod/iPhone dock offers more precise sound reproduction from Apple mobile devices via a fully digital connection that takes advantage of the CRX-332?s superior DAC during playback. In addition, a USB port provides compatibility with MP3 players and flash drives, while a subwoofer port and AUX-in terminals enable easy system expansion with additional components. The result is stunning sound from a compact, versatile and stylish package.

?Our customers? interest in high-quality, 2-channel stereo sound has returned in a big way, and these new models are designed for anyone who wants to really enjoy the highest quality audio from a personal-sized, easy-to-use system,? said Tom Sumner, president, Yamaha Electronics Corporation. ?In keeping with the high standards of our PianoCraft micro component system series, we have once again exceeded consumers? expectations for sound quality and beautiful design in this category.?

The MCR-332 and MCR-232 systems both provide remarkably proficient 2-way bass reflex speakers with deep cabinets supported by three legs. This design prevents external vibrations from affecting sound reproduction and delivers resonant bass and rich midrange with exceptionally good imaging.

Conceived from its musical instrument manufacturing expertise, Yamaha integrates its proprietary Vibration Control Cabinet Structure (VCCS) technology that incorporates strategically placed pieces of composite material within each speaker to further reduce vibration-related distortion. A luxurious, piano-like finish provides a sophisticated look that is perfect in any setting?from the office or living room, to the bedroom or yacht.

Both systems offer large-size, screw type speaker terminals that ensure a reliable high quality connection. The MCR-332 speakers also offer banana clip connections, an unusual high-end feature for micro component systems, for additional connection reliability over time. The MCR-332 and MCR-232 systems? speakers have elegantly designed removable speaker grills.

The MCR-332 (MSRP $ 399.95), MCR-232 (MSRP $ 349.95) and CRX-332 (MSRP $ 299.95), are each sold with an updated remote control featuring enhanced design and functionality, and are currently available at retail. The CRX-332 CD/receiver also will be sold separately at select retailers as part of alternate systems with other components.

Free Update For Line 6 POD? HD, POD? HD Pro And POD? HD500 Adds More Control And New Features

Calabasas, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2011

Line 6, Inc. (line6.com), the industry leader in digital modeling technology for musicians, announced today a free update for their POD? HD multi-effect processors. Firmware update v1.4 will give guitarists additional features including enhanced MIDI control, faster gating, variable input impedance and new input flexibility.

"This latest update reflects our mission to make POD HD extremely intuitive, even while offering an extraordinary range of features," said Elliot Chenault, Product Manager at Line 6. "Firmware update v1.4 provides new ways to sculpt and control your tone, while improving ease of use.?

New Variable Input Impedance gives guitarists eight selectable options to enhance their tone. When set to "auto," the impedance matches that of the first amp or effect in the chain, creating the same response as plugging into the modeled original. Seven discrete resistor values (22k, 32k, 70k, 90k, 230k, 1M, 3.5M) can also be selected to further sculpt the sound, actually changing the analog circuitry. Impedance settings are saved with each preset.

New Global Input Selection mode means guitarists can play through any combination of effects and tones from a single input source. When guitarists need their POD? HD multi-effect processor to remember different input sources, they can simply toggle Preset Input Selection mode.

The new Hard Gate is an advanced gate capable of extremely quick response. With controls for hold time, decay rate, and separate open/close thresholds, Hard Gate is ideal for any genre including Metal. It can even be used to create erratic ?sputter? and ?splat? effects.

Enhanced MIDI Control enables guitarists to control POD HD500 and POD HD Pro with external MIDI controllers. A variety of functions including Footswitch 1-8, Tap Tempo, Tuner, Looper Controls, and Expression Pedals can all be accessed via standard MIDI messages.

(Note: MIDI control is available for POD HD500 and POD HD Pro only.)

To get Firmware update v1.4, just connect your POD HD via USB to your computer, run Line 6 Monkey? and follow the instructions. Learn more about the v1.4 update and POD HD multi-effect processors at line6.com/podhd.
