More importantly for many users, this extender is HDCP compliant so there is no concern about the image being lost due to security encoding. The Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2224 Multimode Fiber Extender is an amazing product and allows users to utilize all their common USB input devices from keyboards, scanners, printers, and data drives all the way to USB touch screens over distances beyond the capability of standard USB Extender over CAT5e/Cat6 cables. This USB 2.0 Extender leverages one of the greatest features of USB 2.0, bus powered devices, by including a power supply for the 4 port USB hub receiver.
